As awful as this probably was for you at the time it was happening, at least now you have story-telling rights! I guess we forget that our little furry feline friends are still about half wild. My buddy Bart leaves me little piles of bird guts at the the front door, and once in a while brings in a lizard from the garage, which we usually find in 2 parts--tail and lizard. Once he killed a baby possum in the garage; I have no idea how it got there. And he's so proud of himself each time!
