The biggest favor you can do for yourself is getting an 1/4 inch foot. It has a little piece of metal on it's right side to keep your seam at 1/4 inch. I can not tell you how much that will help your seams stay at 1/4 inch..Ask at where ever you bought your machine or where you buy fabric. They have them for all makes and models, it'll be your best friend. I think it is a great idea to number your quilts, I wish I had thought of that when I started. I recently tried to make a list of all the quilts I've made over the last 35 years and it was hard to do. I have pictures of most of them but some I gave away before I took a photo. I now have a list of my quilts. when they were made, for whom and the date completed and a small photo album of most of them I add to it with every quilt. Welcome to the world of quilting.
