This is NOT my first time on Byetta. I spent 6 months on it before
and I did NOT lose any weight like the Dr said I would, although as
sick as I was all the time I do not know how I couldn't have.

Back then I was doing 2 injections per day morning with breakfast
and evening with dinner. I was able to find a "workable" amount of
food in the morning where I did NOT get sick, but the evenings was
a whole other thing. I even tried to duplicate my morning meal exactly
for my evening meal and I still got sick after dinner. I tried EVERYTHING
even lowering the dosage for dinner nothing helped that is when my Dr
(not the same Dr as now) took me back off it.

Last night I did not get the nausea to bad in fact it was very mild, just
enough to let me know but not so much that I felt I needed to be ready
to run for the bathroom. The headache though was still just as horrible
as it has been since I restarted the Byetta.

I just keep hoping that I will find the happy medium and can stay on it
until the beginning of the year when it is "suppose" to become a weekly
injection.

I will be talking to my Dr on Friday to get my reports for the BS monitoring
and the "diary" I have been keeping recording everything I eat, drink and
do while taking the Byetta.

I WILL be ok. I have been dealing chronic neck/muscle pain since March 2007.
It will take more than the nausea and headaches to take me down for long.

I hope the Byetta works for you..in the mean time, if you have good drug coverage or can get samples from your doc I have had great luck with an anti nausea drug they give to cancer patients. It's called Ondansetron and if I get to feeling queasy, it works right away! It's a wonder drug...and it's now in generic so it might not be as expensive as the brand used to be.

I've lost over 35 lbs and when folks ask how I jokingly tell them it's the nausea diet. Some of them don't get it and want to know what it is....I tell them they don't want to know. I'm sorry this drug is making you so sick...isn't there some way to predetermine what you need to eat.
