I use them as plant waterers in my veggie garden. I plant in raised rows. I drill holes maybe 15 of them about 1/4 inch in dia. in the bottom. Bury them about 2/3 's of the deepth of can next to your tomato,pepper,or cucumber plants. Then you can use miracle grow to water them once a week or just fill with water about twice a week and fill them more often when it gets hot and your plants are big. This saves from watering the whole row and the weeds coming up in the rows.Your only watering the plants.Mary
