Default Bag made from recycled clothing

Our Quilt Group has a challenge for our final quilting day each year. Some years we exchange the challenge but not so this year.

Our challenge this year was to make a bag from recycled clothing. We each received a wrapped package with our corresponding picked number. We were to keep the content of the package a secret, make the bag and bring back on the November meeting day and the bags were displayed by number on our final day (Christmas Party day). There was a popular vote and a prize given to the winner. So we each didn't know who's bag belonged to who.

After the winner was chosen we each got to talk about what we received in the package and how we used the clothing fabric in the making of the bag.

This challenge really made us think outside the square........I received a stripped man's shirt (new condition) and a well washed burgendy peddle pushers. Here is a picture of my creation. We were able to use some of our own fabric as well.

There were truely some wonful creations.

Here is the piture of my recycled clothing bag.
