man, I have done that...with my cordless iron..it cuts itself off, BUT I have found that it also can turn back on..I make a point now to take it off of the cradle all together, and I turn off the outlet strip! WAs thinking about getting one of those light switches and outlets like in my living room..the outlet will not work unless the light is turned on! Wonder how hard that would be to have put in the sewing room...only need two outlets to be like that!
