the first two sites listed are for veterans, the third is for a hospice program... my knitting forum has just been thru all this... if you do not adhere exactly to their guidelines, they give the laprobes away... and each veterans' hospital, home and support group has their own rules. you need to contact the location you mean to give to and find out what they need and don't need. one of the groups we located told us they had hundreds of laprobes stockpiled and did not want any more at this time (this was only 4-6 weeks ago) but they did provide us with a list of things they DID need... i'm not saying don't make them, i'm just saying find the destination first and provide what they need and not what you would necessarily enjoy making. there were lots of groups listed.
