I looked at both and ended up with the Gidget II. The issue with me was the side of the base (the feet). The SewEzi legs were wider than the Gidget II and I needed it to fit in a very narrow space in my camper in addition to using it at home. I am quite happy with my Gidget II which I have used for my Singer Featherweight and my Singer 99 portable. The height of the needle place is different between the machines, but the Gidget is easy to adjust.
