I'm aware of that. They are not dating. Not everything in this world is about money or time invested. I don't put a monetary value on many things I do for others. I give to, or do for them, because I want to.
If no one ever did something out of generosity or kindness, there would be a lot more unhappiness in this world. Look at the news. Total strangers are paying off Lay-a-way accounts for people they have never met! She knows this girl, perhaps not for a long time, but so what! If she wants to give her something she knows would make her happy and if she is in a position to do it, then she should give her the quilt.
