Thankyou all for these ideas - lots to work on, and I'm going to play on a practice piece. I particularly like the suggestion of hanging it higher on the wall when I've attempted to quilt it - probably a good approach for all my quilting efforts! I just take my glasses off before looking at my quilts - improves them no end!
