I got my 201 to put zippers in hubby's coveralls and mend jeans as all my Janome did was balk and growl at all that heavy canvas and denim. The 201 just powers through that stuff and an added benefit is that I can drop the feed dogs for FM quilting. Make sure to check the wiring. Mine was a 1947 model and the wires were soft and rubbery and cracking in many places. I had it completely serviced and re-wired for $70 and the machine was a free to a good home deal complete with a cabinet!
