I can relate. Thanksgiving of 2010 I fell while riding my bike ( and answering my cell phone) and broke my
right shoulder. While my arm was in a sling I found I could turn my machine on and even lower the presser foot with my'
left hand so I made tons of scrappy squares just feeding them with my left hand. I used a method I do not know the name of, but you keep adding scraps (small pieces around 2 or 3 inches) to the right side and rotating it until it is big enough to cut a 5 inch square from. I could do this as the stitching did not have to be exact and I could trim them with scissors as I could not use my rotary cutter. When I could finally use my right arm I made a quilt from those squares
and called it my broken arm quilt. To good luck to you and I know you will find a way
