Default I Learned Something Today

My machine really doesn't like to sew through two layers of fabric and six layers of batting. I made a pouch for my daughter's new Kindle and thought it should have lots of padding. So I quilted 2 layers of batting to the outsife and the liner. So far so good. After I sewed the layers together, I tried to top-stitch around the edges. hmmmmmmmm. Looks like the tension is off. rip, rip, rip. hmmmm. Maybe I need to try stronger thread. The heck with it. She might not notice the extra layers of thread. Needless to say, I finished with handstitching.

Done is better than perfect.
