I have a 1222e from 1976! That is a GREAT machine! It has a built in walking foot. Pfaff had the exclusive rights to that foot until recently! Pfaff had the patent for that foot until a few years ago when the patent expired. I use that machine a lot to finish the bindings on my large quilts after I attach the bindings with my Davis Vertical Feed machine. Attaching with the Davis, that does not have feed dogs, is great; then to finish with the Pfaff with the walking foot and a decorative stitch or monofilament thread is so easy and looks so nice. Because both machines walk the fabric, you don't get puckers, bunched up fabric! I'd NEVER part with that 1222e! Those machines are very hard to find because people keep them! If you do find one, they are usually priced way too high for me!
Billy always said he considered anything from the 70's back as vintage!
