Ott lamps are on sale at JoAnn's - 50% off - at mine that's 50% of $139.99. I LOVE my floor Ott. Light weight - I can move it with one hand. The light truly is like daylight.
I bought my Ott from Nancy's Notions. When it arrived, the bulb wouldn't work. I called them to complain, and they sent a new bulb - and I didn't even have to send them the bulb that didn't work! That's good customer service! I don't know what JoAnn's would do.
Blahel's idea of buying a bulb and putting it in a fixture you already have sounds good to me, though. It's worth trying.

I tried True Value, but they don't sell on-line. We have to check at our local stores. It's worth a try!
