Cheese/strada
10 slices wh.bread, no crusts
1/3 c soft butter
3 c sharp cheese, grated
BEAT tog.
8 slightly beaten eggs
3 c milk
1 t. salt
1 t. dry mustard
˝ T. parsley
pepper
Spread butter on bread and cut each slice into 4 strips
Butter a 2 qt. casserole and make alternate layers of bread and cheese
End with a cheese layer.
Pour egg mixture over bread & cheese layers…
Refrigerate at least 24 hours.
Remove 1 hour before baking
Bake 40/50 minutes @ 350 degrees
Broccoli, mushroom, sausage, or ham may be placed after the first layer of bread
OR….canned onion rings on top
