I didn't have to walk to school but I did ride my bike to the neighbors before and after school in most weathers. I remember riding it through rain but not snow. My mom worked and I had to go about a half mile to the neighbors.
Here is a picture of my mom in her school house. It was Mt. Zion and sat somewhere around Bonaparte Iowa. If anyone has any pictures of the school that would be terrific.
