I feel that way every year! Not exactly a bah-humbug feeling, but I think the present-buying and who-goes-to-whose-house business gets worse every year. I'd prefer that we buy no presents except for the little children, have one big meal on Christmas Day and everyone is invited, but if they don't come, they've missed it (no duplicate big meals strung along to New Years Day), and then take down the decorations on NY Day. I haven't spent Christmas with my children and grandchildren in ten years! They live in Texas and I live in England, though I do see them during the year. DH has five children and they all have children and spouses over here, so it gets too big for me.

I feel so sorry for those who have lost loved ones at this time of the year. When it happens, the holidays are never ever the same again. Hugs to you!
