I purchased a Wahl version,the folks who make the hair cutting equipment, at a quilt expo. It is without a doubt the best and easiest seam ripper I've ever used. It will not cause any damage to the fabric. One downside is that if you used a lock stitch to start your seam you will need to remove those extra stitches first. Then using the Wahl seam ripper the rest is a breeze. It really is not expensive when you look at the advantage of super fast seam ripping, something I find myself doing with every project. I'll learn someday, but until then this seam ripper is my buddy.
