When we were first dating my husband got me to repair some of his clothing for him. I patched some of his workclothes sewed the bottom back in his pockets etc. His first wife had no sewing skills at all. Sometimes I tease him that he married me to keep his clothes in order. He learned early on to admire my handiwork. It comes in handy that his first wife wasn't good at anything domestic. At least when I go out with my girlfriends he knows we are sewing or quilting not picking up guys in a bar.
