AMEN! I would have been so happy to give all (of course, there's only 5 of us + 2 grandbabies) Gift Cards...A special gift to the youngin's and be done with it... Very stressful this year for some reason. I enjoy the decorations here at home, and making things but not all the stress!. Hope all has a nice start to the New Year.

I believe it is the commercialism that has replaced the spirit of Christmas and the reason for the season. I know that my grandchildren got so much stuff, they didn't even know what to play with first. And it wasn't because their parents spent so much on them...they had family and friends at every turn giving them something. I wish we could get back to a much simpler time...remember when the tree was cut down in the woods and all the ornaments were handmade by the children?
