You most likely wont be happy with the Horizon if you really want the Brother. I have a Janome 6500 and love it. My sister has the horizon. If you purchase it because it seems like a really great price even though you would prefer something, you will always seem to find thinking I wish I had gotten what I really wanted. I have learned the hard way, buy what you really want not what you think is a better deal.
I agree with that. When my Pfaff died and I wanted a new machine, the nearest dealer was over 60 miles away. I stayed here in town, and got a Janome 6600. It's a good machine and I'm gradually getting use to the way it works. But I think there may allways be a tiny "maybe I should have driven the 60 miles."
