The slippers are from a pattern by Simplicity. I don't have the pattern number with me at this moment but if you are interested I can get it for you. It calls for you to order the soles from simplicity.com, but I didn't have the time to do that. So I experimented with the soles. I found some really heavy upholstery suede from JoAnn Fabrics and used that. I cut the band around the top (got to be on the bias......very important) and then laying it flat on the top part of the slipper I stitched halfway up. After stitching I folded it down to match the bottom of the slipper.....cut my sole and stitched it to that. I also used headliner fabric for the inside of the bottom for cushion. I spray glued that on. The trick was to get the right size of the sole cut out. I found that for a Medium size (6-7-1/2) the sole was to be cut at 11 inches. It was a trial and error thing until I got it right. After that, they were so simple to make. The hardest part was cutting the fur to the pattern.
