I have a #1 plus and it does much the same embroidery as the Rose. It will do a 4x4 unless you split the design. I just bought some software and a reader/writer for mine so we'll see how that goes once I get it. Are you wanting the manual to be able to embroider? You should be able to download something from Viking. Go to their website and contact them, they will be able to help you. You can get most everything you need on ebay in terms of feet. I have had good luck getting parts for mine when needed but I seldom need service. These machines were meant to last. I've had mine for 20+ years. One major repair in all that time and it was lightning that took it out. You'll like this machine.
