If you are computer savvy it is a good idea to get them uploaded so you don't lose them in case of disaster. I would look for furniture that has storage capacity for the actual photos. There are wonderful ottomans that open and end tables that nice storage beneath them and don't overlook file cabinets. You can always through a tablecloth over a shorter file cabinet and put a lamp on it for an end table. They even have bed frame at Ikea that the headboard slides sideways with storage shelves.
