I am holding out for an IPad, as well. I have a Nook...black and white. I only use it for reading novels. DS and DIL have a new Ipad...gift for DIL from her work (I would LOVE to work where she does...they give awesome gifts each year). I am thinking I may give my laptop to DH and get myself an Ipad.
