Hi, I'm not familiar with iPads, but I did a google search using "blue square with question mark", and this is what I found:
Usually it means that the image/file is in a format your browser or mail plugins cannot read.
Do me a favor and go to where the picture is, and "right click" (or whatever you do on an iPad), and check the properties of the picture. See what file format it is, and how big it is, and let me know. Thanks.
