My dad use to make the canned biscuit donuts when I was a kid. We usually had them in the evening as a snack, we rolled them in plain sugar. There was never a problem of them getting cold because they didn't last long. There were 4 of us kids and we gobbled them up as quick as dad could get them out of the oil and they were cool enough to touch.
Miss my dad, he's been gone for 21 years this April.
