Well, I did look at the pattern that I had chosen, and realize that if I did just the 12 inch block, it would be so very, very plain. So, after searching for something similar, I have decided to do a modified Churn Dash block. I have found a pattern that changes the center to be 8-1/2 x 8-1/2, with the 'framing strips' and corner blocks to be a bit smaller. I feel this is a perfect block pattern to showcase your focus piece. After I request swap permission from Patrice about the upcoming swap, I will begin to post.
