This guild does a block of the month which was fun the see the completed blocks using the same pattern but different materials. The guild is going on a retreat in October and I am planning to go, too!!!

A great experience that I would encourage others to try??? Yes! :P
Wow, it looks like you have found a great group. The retreat sounds wonderful. Let us know how it was.
