I had a friend call me in tears because she thought she had ruined a baby quilt I gave her. She's a cat person, I'm a cat person so I wasn't as cautious about washing that one. I ran over to see what sort of damage she had done to it and it was the crinkly look you get when you wash. I had to explain to her that it was supposed to look like that, I just hadn't washed it yet. She didn't believe me until I showed several I had at home. So now I make an effort to wash unless I know it's going to be a wall hanging or it's going on my bed.
