The Static Electricity idea is an old one brought into the modern day.
I read somewhere that if you have static electricity in your polyester slacks, and wear panty hose,
pin a safety pin in the hem or side seam of the slacks. It will cut the cling. Most often I would use Static-guard
but tried it and safety pin does the job. Now, who wears polyester pants and panty hose these days...
those of us old enough to remember wearing nylon stockings and garters. That's who!!
