What a neat idea! And I like the idea of using fishing line to hold them together rather than hot glue. I'm a bit messy with that glue and sometimes my fingers get a little too close to the glue.
And with the line, one can take them apart later if wanted and use them some other way. I also like the idea of measuring tape used as a bow or draped around the wreath. And adding buttons... How about a little old pair of scissors that are dull and not usable, a thimble too?
