I need one of these for a leather recliner that the cats scratch as they chase each other across it. I tried sewing an envelope thingy for the top back like you would make for a simple dining room chair, and then draping fabric down the seating area, tucking in the edges. But every time DH reclined he ripped the envelope at about halfway up the back, even tho I did put excess fabric in the area where back becomes seat. Maybe the secret is to have several separate pieces that don't connect together? I have trouble keeping anything in place because the leather is kinda slick. Any ideas would be appreciated.
