What Are Your Favorite Patterns For Quilts For Teens?
I have 3 half siblings, all teenagers. The twins (a girl and a boy) are going to be 18 this June and the "baby" of the family will be 17 in September. This past Christmas, my sister told me that all she wants for next Christmas is one of my quilts and her twin, my brother agreed. Now, I promised myself that I would not wait until the last minute to get started on Christmas quilts this year so I'm getting started now. My brother, the twin, loves the "Day & Night" quilt I made so his quilt is a no brainer. As for the baby, he didn't say he wanted a quilt but I don't want to do quilts for the twins and have him feel left out. I was thinking of making him a D9P. That way, if he really doesn't care, which I don't think he will since he never seems to be thrilled about quilts or other things I've made for him, I'm not out much time. But, I'm stumped on the quilt for my sister. I'm really not sure what pattern to do for her. I don't want to go too simple and I want to do something striking for her. She really takes notice of quilting and I think she may be on her way to being a quilter one day, herself. She loves purples and grays and blues. Are there any vibrant, striking patterns any of you could think of? Thanks!
