About 40 years ago my MIL had a Lybian husband and wife living in the apartment next to hers. One day when the postman handed her the mail, he asked what nationality they were and she said, "I don't know, I think ther lesbians" As soon as she said it she realized what she had said and would no longer meet the mailman at the door. That has become one of our family stories we tell. When she died and we were recalling meaningful and funny things about her we recalled that story and it brought laughter to an otherwise sad occasion.
