Thanks for the info. I dropped the name and number of the place Linda got hers from. I spoke with her brother who said she was looking into this AM but wasn't sure what she came up with. She'll call me once she knows something. DH said if they weren't able to do the $1999 price we are better off checking someplace else even though we love supporting our small down mom and pop stores.

You CAN get a machine for $2000. If you're willing to get a used machine, you can do better. Check out the Yahoo list sewitsforsale or something like that.
Personal opinion - hold out for the Horizon. The throat space is amazing.
