Wink The joy of a real sewing table

Today I took delivery of a Sew-Ezi sewing table (no affiliations) and wow what a difference it makes to have the machine at the 'right' height with a wide level sewing space. Fortuitously the table is the same height as my work table which it abuts, so now I have a huge surface to support my quilts. I spent all afternoon practicing FMQ, which I have never done before and I had a blast! My results weren't great but I figure it's like playing the piano - gotta practice before it sounds/looks good. And my back isn't killing me tonight. Usually after a lengthy sewing session I spend the evening rolling my shoulders trying to work out the kinks.

AND this morning I pieced a backing for my quilt-in-progress using John Flynn's diagonal seam method. And it worked.

Today was a good day. A very good day.

Just had to share with 'someone' who might understand my joy.
