I don't think it comes with a hopping foot, it comes with a convertible free motion quilting foot QB-H. I prefer this to a foot that hops as I find the hopping distracting.
If you go to the Yahoo group for the Horizon there has been a recent discussion on a hopping foot, but I can't see any benefit in getting one.
