black would be a nice choice too- that yellow- is WOW! bright- i think a bit too much for the batiks- the cream would be a better choice in my opinion---something (softer) would work too- like a pale blue, pink, even yellow in a much (calmer) shade....unless of course you really want a (knock your socks off) Wow bright quilt! then go with the yellow
