I would not spend $500 for this limited edition machine. I am a quilter, I sew alot, my featherweight cost half that much, and mostly I never use any other stitch than straight stitch when I am piecing (about 90% of the time). I think Singer has a "lemon", and needs to have quilters on its staff to find out what we really need. (like huge bobbins, huge throat areas, easy maintenance, quiet motor, well lit throat area, and maybe a CD player. (Haha)
