Hexagon Table Topper Youtube Tutorial - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...0&feature=plpp_video

There ya go... now you know what I know. This was all I used to make the "topper" that I posted. I did do some light quilting on it that does not show. It's got 3 rows of top stitching, and I sewed a large 4 line grid in the center for batting stability. It simply doesn't show.

Thank you again lalaland! This was just WHAT I needed to start off my year!

Thanks! Have to admit though, I got it from a board member as well but couldn't remember who it was. And GagaSmith is right, it is an octagon, however the YouTube tute labels it as a hexagon so had to stick with that. I want to mention too that I did not bind the edges, I dislike binding with every fiber of my being, so I cheated and sewed right sides together, flipped it right side out, closed the seam and then did a decorative stitch around the edges so at a glance it looks like the edges have binding. If any of you feel the same the way I do about binding, here's the technique I use on my quilts. http://www.lorettaalvarado.com/binding.htm
