Great tutorial. I can't wait to make these for my hubby. He likes to sit in his recliner and eat soup or whatever and I usually give him a dishtowel under it and now I can make him his own little bowl holder.
My son had the same need for a "bib". Here is a link to the one I made for him. Can't be used in the micro due to the velcro, but he just puts his bowl in it to protect his hands.

I just re-read your message and I misunderstood when you said you put a dishtowel under the bowl. Thought you used the dishtowel as a "bib"
