My hubby just had one knee done this past fall. He made sure he did a lot of exercises before going in. He did really well. Was in and out in 4 days. Started physio immediately and worked really hard every day doing the exercises he was told. It was amazing to watch him heal. Tough at times as he made that leg do things it didn't want to do but he did. Now, 4 months later he is pretty much back to the same flexiblity as the other knee. He is so glad he did it. We can walk together again, etc. Lots of horror stories out there but there are just as many good stories. If you trust your doctor and follow what you are told, generally you should be good. But you do need to work thru the pain that will be there in the beginning.
