Do you find it a treat - and satisfying - to work with your hands on a tangible project? Working with words, you don't have a product that you can pick up and turn around and feel. It's ... just different.
I have always liked working with my hands. I've been knitting and crocheting since I was a child. Sewing is new to me though. I'm likin' it a lot. There is nothing like the feel of soft cotton fabric or better yet, a handmade quilt.
I'll always love writing too. Expressing feelings and communicating with others is so important. I have learned so much in my years writing for a newspaper. In fact, that is where my quilting inspiration came from. I covered a local quilt show every year and was finally bitten by the bug.
