Okay, maybe I am dense. Did you just quilt a big sheet of white, cut it up and then add the applique? That is the only way I can think of to do this on the longarm.
I cut all the pieces first, then did the appliques on them and then took all the pieces and quilted them to the batting.
Just a little different from how you imagined it.
