I totally agree with Lori 8...... this quilt is beautiful and you have a lot of work into it... and when you get it all done.. wow... a Keepsake for sure.. can't wait to see the finished product... Beautiful...

Beautiful quilt. As for making it larger I suggest an additional boarder using the stars that surround the center medalion and darker red from the center of the quilt. To give some color seperation of the two "reds" create another thinner border of the gold color before the new outer border with the stars. You can set these star blocks on point or in squares , either would look nice. You can copy the stars and enlarge then to suit your purposes, but be careful to stay "in scale" or proportion with the other elements.
Again nice work on a difficult pattern.
