Once you get the serial number, you can call the Singer Company at 1-800-474-6437. This will be the Consumer Affairs Division of the company. They will tell you the model number, the date the machine was manufactured, along with the city/state. When I called them about my Model #66 Treadle, it took only a minute or two for them to tell me that it was made on 8/27/1913 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
