Default Presenting a Log Cabin using Marti Michel's techniques

I sewed this queen size Log Cabin in two weeks flat. The trick was to pre-cut all the strips, so that when it came time to start sewing, all the cutting was done. I used Marti Michel's Log Cabin ABC's book for tips and techniques and I am so glad I did. This quilt is very straight and lies perfectly flat. I sewed 16 blocks at a time which randomize my fabrics. I did this daily until all the blocks were done. Then took a couple of days to do the layout... then a day to sew them all together. There is no borders on this quilt. It is edge to edge blocks. The layout and coloring comes from the cover quilt on the Thimbleberries New Collection of Classic Quilts book. This quilt top will go to a group of hand-quilting ladies, and they will raffle it off.
