OBW is a term coined by Maxine Rosenthal, who wrote several books about them. OBW quilts rely primarily on a single fabric for the whole quilt. Stack and Whack (Bethany Reynolds books) use similar techniques to stack and cut the fabrics, but they typically use different fabrics to frame individual blocks. Kaleidoscope is a general term that refers to many different quilt blocks and techniques, including OBW and S&W. Not all kaleidoscope blocks require stacking fabrics.
